Dr. Trish Barrus is an industry influencer in positive psychology. She is a practicing clinician and owner of Riverwoods Behavioral Health and the Clinical Director of Ampelis Recovery, an integrated and groundbreaking program that has proven to be highly successful in treating all types of addictions. As an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah, she helped create the nationally acclaimed Positive Psychology Undergraduate Certificate program. This program attracts students from all over the world and from many different disciplines. It has changed the lives of those who take it both individually and professionally.  She is also the President and Founder of InteraSolutions, a psychological assessment company. She has extensive experience in assessment administration and development, especially in the areas of opioid and chemical addiction, pain management, depression, anxiety, and wellness. 

 

In addition to her business accomplishments, Dr. Barrus serves on several state of Utah committees for the opioid abuse problem and is the State Commissioner on Mental Health for the Utah Digital Health Commission. As a published author and researcher, Dr. Barrus presents at conferences and seminars across the country.

Jade Ozawa-Kirk, M.Ed. is proud to have co-developed the10 Principles of Recovery Workbook, an innovative approach applying modern positive psychology research to addiction recovery! Jade owns a thriving psychotherapy practice in Arizona, catering to adolescents, adults, couples, and families in the Southwest region. Her clinical work entails trauma, addiction, women’s mental health, and community education. In addition to clinical practice, Jade enjoys teaching college-level positive psychology courses, providing training on multicultural orientation and mental health topics within her community, and sharing resources and information through in-person and web-based seminars and workshops. Her published research covers topics including opioid abuse risk, multicultural orientation in counseling, perinatal mental health, and research methods. She has presented at conferences and seminars on the same topics throughout the U.S. Jade is the mother of two splendid children and a lover of Asian gastronomy.
